Buses are introduced as part of the Boston mass transit system.

Operated by the Boston Elevated Railway Company, the “motor buses” run along North Beacon Street between Union Square and the Charles River. Coaches mounted on a truck chassis, they are less than 30 feet long and carry no more than two dozen passengers.
